It took a long time for me to figure out how to best introduce these guys. I could write about how they met or talk about all the details and planning that went in to their day etc. However, I settled on talking about what stood out for me and really make this pair unique, and to do that we need to talk about the weather.

Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get - Mark Twain

I arrived in Newquay, Cornwall the night before Rich and Cat's big day to stormy over cast skies and a pretty dramatic surf and as the winds battered the coast all through the night I couldn't help think of these guys knowing their reception was being held on the stunning sea cliffs at Bre Pen Farm, Morgan Porth.

The skies had cleared briefly as I arrived at the stunning Tolcarne Beach Colonial Rooms, ready to see Cat and film all the hustle and bustle of bride prep. Now I think its probably fair to say that most brides, most people in general for that matter, would possibly be tearing their hair out or, at the very least, a little stressed at what the UK weather had dished up for them the night before.

But thats not this bride! Despite having to rearrange a lot of things at 4am and an army of loved ones heading up to the cliffs to make everything perfect, I found myself filming the smiliest, calmest bride. She was just super excited to be marrying her best friend in a few hours time.

We arrived at St Mawgan Church to a fluttering of sunshine through the trees, bells ringing and excited giggles. Not even a giant storm could hamper this day. Yes all the details and the planning is important but these two, when it came down to it, knew what a wedding is all about. Surrounding yourself with the people who mean the most to you and telling your person how much you love them.

It's at this point I need to give a massive shout out to the amazing team at Bre Pen Farm and all the suppliers, you guys and the army of friends and family that rallied round, really did Rich, Cat and all their guests proud! We arrived to a stunning Marquee looking out to sea, beautifully dressed tables, great food and a fully stocked bar! It's still one of the most beautiful wedding reception locations I've ever had the pleasure of being at.

Before I leave you with their highlights film...

I'd just like to say on more thing....

Rich and Cat embodied the best advice for those of you on the run up to your wedding. It's simple really, try not to sweat the small stuff. Think about how you want to remember your big day, it's about the hugs, the smiles, the laughter, the love, the crazy dance moves, and mostly, it's about you guys.

It's about celebrating everything that's gotten you to this point, and all the years you have ahead of you, together.

So if you can, lean in to those moments, you wont regret it.... I promise.
