The Cliffs of Moher, Irish hospitality and these two
I arrived at Hotel Doolin, Country Clare early in the morning, a sleepy Mr Applewood and Gwen (our tiny border collie) in our T5 Campervan so excited to finally meet Wayne and Aine in person. Doolin itself is this gorgeous little town right on the County Clare, the sun was shining, and I find Wayne wandering down the street to be greeting with a giant hug. First step of the day was to locate and say hi to the groom, job done! Next off to find Áine and her bridal party.
Up the hill behind Hotel Doolin is a small group of holiday cottages and its here I find Áine and her gorgeous girls all excitedly getting ready for the big day. Bride prep was a dream, not to mention the tears when Aine opened her gifts from Wayne, it was such a pleasure to spend a few hours with these ladies.
The Ceremony
So much love and thought went into Wayne and Áine's humanist ceremony, it was filled with really personal moments that I love when a couple have the opportunity to craft their own ceremony. Theres something so deep and poignant and puts more focus on this part of the day. Also - can I get a high five to the "confetti down the aisle" I loved this so much!
The Cliffs of Moher
A short drive from Doolin and you are staring out to sea and the Cliffs of Moher. Such a dreamy location for portraits and such an amazing time for this two to take stock, straight after their ceremony of the fact they are now husband and wife! My favourite part of the session may still be when Áine switched her Jimmy Choo's for her converse to scramble about the rocks, what a hero!
And Finally
We ended the evening having to tear ourselves away from the party, and what a part they were having. Getting invited back to the family barbecue the next day is a perfect example of this pairs hospitality, we hit the road the next morning to explore the Wild Atlantic Way and hope to be back in Ireland very soon.
